This opportunity entails working directly with clients to lead and deliver technology projects and to grow national opportunities around Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and emerging mobility solutions. In this role, you will oversee multiple project teams, stakeholders, and vendors, and coordinate with other ITS and emerging mobility solutions practice groups within HNTB to ensure that projects align with the company's strategic goals and objectives. You will apply a Systems Engineering focus to working with clients and technology office staff to identify, analyze, design, develop and implement fully integrated solutions of moderate to large-scale complexity.
What You'll Do: Establish and implement project management processes and strategies for all technical projects.Analyze project requirements and develop work plans, schedules, milestones, and deliverables for the teams.Assign and oversee the daily tasks of technical personnel while ensuring they are working toward established goals.Hold regular technical team meetings to monitor progress and address any issues or challenges regarding projects.Communicate project status and issues to senior management and clients.Evaluate project outcomes and implement lessons learned for future improvement.Provide technical expertise and guidance to the teams and clients as needed.Research and evaluate hardware and software technology options and weigh the cost/benefit analysis when making large purchases on behalf of the company.Recruit and train exceptional employees to fulfill posted positions within the technical department.Update and maintain all production technologies ensuring proper maintenance and installation.Perform other duties as assigned.What You'll Need: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and 12 years of relevant experience, orMaster's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and 11 years of relevant experience, orIn lieu of education, 16 years of relevant experience.What You'll Bring: Strong knowledge of emerging mobility practices as they relate to connected/electric/autonomous vehicles, shared mobility, Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) solutions, and other related mobility services and solutions.Strong knowledge of Systems Engineering and the design, analysis, and management of complex systems throughout their entire life cycle.Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.Proficient in various programming languages, operating systems, network systems, security systems, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware.Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.Organizational and time-management skills.Decision-making skills.What We Prefer: Master's degree or higher in project management or related technical field.Additional Information Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
