ORGANIZATION SUMMARY World Relief is a global Christian humanitarian organization whose mission is to boldly engage the world's greatest crises in partnership with the church. The organization was founded in the aftermath of World War II to respond to the urgent humanitarian needs of war-torn Europe. Since then, for 80 years, across 100 countries, World Relief has partnered with local churches and communities to build a world where families thrive and communities flourish.
Today, organizational programming focuses on humanitarian and disaster response, community strengthening and resilience, and refugee & immigrant services and advocacy.
This position is reliant upon funding and may be subject to modification or termination based on resource availability. POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking a passionate and experienced Employment Developer to support our refugee clients to gain employment that will help them achieve economic self-sufficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the challenges faced by refugees in the job market and will work collaboratively with clients, employers, and community organizations to create opportunities for sustainable employment.
\n ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES: Client Support:   
Help conduct assessments and coaching sessions to identify clients' skills, experiences, and employment goals.   Help provide personalized job readiness training, including resume writing, interview preparation, and networking strategies.   Accompany clients to job fairs as needed.    Internal Collaboration:   Collaborate with Economic Empowerment Specialists to understand needs and qualifications of clients.  Maintain accessible database of open positions for which clients might qualify, and communicate about these positions to Economic Empowerment Specialists and other staff.   Collaborate with Employer Engagement Manager to reduce barriers for clients to gain employment.    Employer Engagement:   Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, organizations, and industry leaders to identify job opportunities and communicate when clients have submitted applications.   Advocate for the hiring of refugee clients, promoting their diverse skills and experiences to potential employers.   Organize job fairs, workshops, and networking events to connect clients with employers.   Program Development:   Collaborate with team members to develop and implement employment programs tailored to the needs of refugee clients.   Stay informed about labor market trends and opportunities relevant to refugees and immigrants.   Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, making recommendations for improvements.   Collaborate to develop processes within and across departments to facilitate maximum benefits for clients.   Community Outreach:   Partner with local organizations, educational institutions, and government agencies to enhance resources and opportunities for clients.   Participate in community events to raise awareness of refugee issues and promote our services.  Work with volunteers to structure opportunities for job readiness orientations and resume workshops.   Documentation and Reporting:   
Maintain accurate records of client progress and employment placements.   Prepare reports for stakeholders and funders on program outcomes and success stories.  JOB REQUIREMENTS:Mature and personal Christian faithCommitted to the mission, vision, and values of World ReliefDesire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communitiesAble to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Evangelicals For the Health of The Nation document Bachelor's degree in social work, human services, or a related field (or equivalent experience).   Experience in job development, career counseling, or workforce development. Strong understanding of labor market dynamics and the challenges faced by refugees in securing employment.   Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.   Experience working on a team to mutually achieve client centered goals.   Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of work.     Digital Literacy Experience- Working in database, organizing data in spreadsheets, and using office software to organize data and documents as well as to communicate internally and externally.   Ability to travel locally, to job fairs and employer partners as needed.    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Proficiency in Spanish, Arabic, Kinyarwanda, Dari, Haitian CreoleExperience working with diverse populations or in multicultural environmentsExperience in helping job candidates to write resumes.   Experience hiring or onboarding employees.
