Job Description JOB TITLE: Energy Services Worker PROGRAM/DEPT: Energy and Housing Division REPORTS TO: Energy Services Program Manager GRADE/CLASSIFICATION: Seasonal Part Time

FLSA: Non-exempt

Description: This position is responsible for greeting clients visiting the site to create a pleasant atmosphere.
The Energy Services Worker will complete and certify Energy Assistance applications and complete pre-assessments for clients.
Handle item changes and recertify applications.
Provide referrals to additional programs as needed.
Schedule appointments for the Energy Assistance Program rules and necessary documentation needed to file.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities (others may be assigned based upon program needs): Greet all clients visiting the site to create a pleasant atmosphere.
Complete Energy Assistance Applications.
Certify Energy Assistance Applications.
Complete pre-assessments for clients.
Handle Item changes and recertify applications.
Provide referrals to additional programs as needed.
Screen clients to determine the type of assistance they will need.
Schedule appointments for the Energy Assistance Program.
Inform clients of Energy Assistance Program rules and necessary documentation needed to file.
Perform office duties i.e., make files, file applications, make copies, postage, faxes, scans, photo copies, etc.
Conduct reminder phone calls to clients.
Work together with program staff to manage client flow at the office.
Any additional duties required by the Energy Services Program Manager and/or Division Director.
Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma (GED) or higher preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Ability to multi-task plus experience working in a busy office Strong computer and telephone Skills Must be organized, flexible and self-directed Ability to communicate and relate with a diverse client base Proficient in the use of Windows and Microsoft Office Products Ability to operate machines - fax, copier, postage machine Physical Requirements: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard.
Ability to lift up to thirty (30) pounds Language Requirements: Bi-lingual (Spanish / English) is preferred.
