Responsibilities:Plans, supervises, and directs the work of engineers.Evaluates measurement data to determine appropriate tolerances.Recommends & implements design changes and manufacturing improvements based on measurement data.Responsible for meeting new delivery dates.Collaborates with process improvement teams to develop cost-effective manufacturing processes.Ability to motivate people, instill accountability, and achieve results.Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Manage major repair development projects, including development of project plans, work scope, budget requirements, task management, and certification.Collaborate with Team Members at all levels of the organization regarding manufacturing capabilities, production methods, scheduling, etc. to facilitate production throughput while maintaining a high-quality standard.Responsible for meeting department budget requirements.Performs other duties as assigned.Job Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.5+ years of managerial experience.Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.Strong leadership and managerial skills.5 years of aerospace/mechanical design experience is required.Knowledge of FAA regulations; PMA's, DER, CFR's, TSO's.Experience and proficiency using design software (Solidworks, AutoCad, Inventor) is required.Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.Must have excellent organizational and communication skills.Compensation: Competitive pay commensurate with experience.
