What you’ll doWithin the Manufacturing Engineering scope, Product Engineering evaluates, reports, and achieves manufacturability KPI’s by consulting with R&D on optimal product design.Success is achieved by intimate knowledge of product design, production process and project management. The “Manufacturing- Program Manager” is responsible for Tracking and Reporting of the financial and technical KPIs in the projects. You will report to the Manager, Plant Production Coordination.Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the all-electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:Align the tasks and available resources within manufacturing engineering.Track and improve the financial status and budget to meet the project targets.Guide a team of technical experts in a project manager role.Summarize reports of the technical departments to an overall statement and report in the committees of Scout.Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, production control, and engineering to develop an overall technical statement on technology (product and process requirements, manufacturability) of the Production business unit.Take responsibility for all communication between manufacturing engineering and engineering department as Single point of contact for all vehicle design related topics.Use cross-departmental collaboration to meet and exceed company goals and objectives in the field of design for manufacturing.Coordinating activities within the team that outline and achieve project goals.Providing instruction and guidance about required techniques and regulations.Location & Travel Expectations: The responsibilities of this role require daily attendance at in-person meetings and events. The role will be based out of a Scout Motors location in Columbia, South Carolina, starting 2025. Until then, you will be required to be in the Detroit, MI area frequently.
