Entry Level Staff Accountant Location Columbia, TN : Preventia is a locally owned and operated alarm and low voltage company offering excellent service in the our industry. We are looking for a recent graduate for Entry Level - Staff Accountant to join our Finance and Accounting Team with Preventia Security. Description Responsibilities for an Entry-Level Accountant: Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently Assist in processing accounts payable transactions Conduct thorough invoice auditing to ensure accuracy and compliance Reconcile bank statements promptly and accurately Provide support in preparing and posting journal entries Assist with commission calculations and ensure accuracy in commission payouts Contribute to month-end closing procedures, including preparing financial reports and reconciling accounts Ensure compliance with governmental, vendor, and customer requirements by maintaining accurate records and adhering to regulations Education Requirements: Minimum of an Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Qualifications: Proficiency in Excel, including formulas and functions Familiarity with QuickBooks or other accounting software is preferred Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously Self-motivated and proactive mindset, with a strong attention to detail Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of accounting We value a proactive and problem-solving attitude.
