Responsibilities
• Aid in managing risk, reducing loss, and applying Operational Integrity Management System• Monitor EHS related performance and proactively influence desired results• Ensure compliance with SGS and governmental EHS standards• Disseminate and implement global SGS OI standards, policies, and strategy• Keep up to date with health and safety legislation and communicate changes effectively• Conduct OI audits and generate audit reports• Identify training needs and deliver training internally or through external sources• Assist with the implementation of Industrial Hygiene Exposure Assessment and Monitoring Plans• Lead risk identification, evaluation, and management processes• Lead incident investigation, develop corrective and preventive actions• Ensure effective injury case management process and support the SGS Global OI & Security Program• Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures• Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
• Associate's degree or higher in Occupational Health and Safety or related field• 5+ years of experience in practical OHS advisory capacity• Experience resolving health, safety, and environmental questions and concerns• Experience with risk management, incident investigation, program development, behavioral-based safety, job hazard analysis, and root cause analysis• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Safety, Industrial Hygiene, etc.• 7-10 years' experience leading and implementing safety, environmental, and/or industrial hygiene programs• Valid driver's license required• Associate Safety Professional (ASP) OR Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or related designation• Travels up to 40% of time, some travel might be international• Advanced level required in English language, mathematical skills, and reasoning skills/abilities• Experience with OSHA, MSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations• Exceptional communication, influence, and interpersonal skills• Highly organized, proactive, and self-motivated• Ability to make informed decisions quickly
