Title: Warehouse Generalist I
Department: Warehouse
Pay Status: Non-Exempt
Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor
JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for multiple job functions within the warehouse.
This would include reading and writing product numbers, pulling, picking and assembling cabinets and other activities as assigned.
The position will prepare products for outbound shipments and maintain accurate inventories for products receipted.
The position loads and unloads freight carriers, as well as processes RGA's when necessary.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear Regularly lift and/or move objects up to 50 -70 pounds Frequently required to walk, stoop, kneel and crouch Must have the ability stand for long periods of time Frequently required to push/pull a ladder, ascend and/or descend ladder while holding packages Occasionally required climb and balance Must have the ability to use power tools Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
JOB FUNCTIONS Pull & pick orders & assemble cabinets as directed.
Painting of cabinets when necessary.
Process RGA's and damaged product.
Unload & load FedEx, UPS, and LTL freight.
Inventory control-putting stock away.
Use forklift and crown (pallet jacks) as necessary.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS Basic math and computer skills.
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Must adhere to all safety and housekeeping policies and guidelines.
Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
Ability to identify and prioritize urgent orders.
Strong attention to detail (reading and writing product numbers and descriptions).
Good communication skills with Sales/Shipping personnel.
Knowledge & understanding of pick and pack lists.
Keep work area neat & organized.
Keep accurate inventory notes.
EDUCATION High School Diploma or GED Equivalent preferred
