THE OPPORTUNITY Vir Biotechnology is seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to support one of our C Suite executives. This position will report to the C suite member and support their department. You will enable the leaders and their team members to work more effectively and will play an important role in the success of Vir!
This role is located in San Francisco at our corporate office.
WHAT YOU'LL DO Heavy calendaring including accommodating scheduling conflicts and last-minute changes. Proactively prioritize conflicting needs and competing demands of several very active calendars within a variety of time zones. Provide administrative support to senior team members by providing updates, preparing for upcoming meetings, and supporting a variety of tasks with multiple priorities. Proactively anticipate the needs of the executive team, identifying potential issues and providing timely solutions to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Provide secondary administrative support to team members across various departments as needed. Prepare expense reports and reimbursement through Concur, coordinate both domestic and international travel arrangements and manage procurement of travel visas. Collaborate with other Executive Assistants internally and externally to coordinate calendars, requests, and events. Ability to work independently, be committed to the role and team, and be available after hours and/or on weekends if needed. WHO YOU ARE AND WHAT YOU BRING Minimum B.S./B.A preferred. 5+ years of experience supporting C Suite Executives within Biotech or Pharma. Outlook, Sharepoint, and Zoom experience is required. Concur expense reporting experience extremely helpful. Experience coordinating shared workspaces/meeting rooms for conferences and knowledge of ZOOM video conferencing is a plus. Experience within pharma/biotech industry is desired. Demonstrated experience handling heavy calendaring with multiple scheduling priorities, coordinating and setting up meetings, and ensuring Executives are at planned activities on time. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to consistently shift focus and reprioritize tasks within a fast-paced environment. This role is located in San Francisco at our corporate office and there is a requirement to be onsite at least four days per week. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The expected salary range for this position is $116,500.00 to $170,500.00. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors.
