DESCRIPTION: Award winning, 5-Star Luxury/Lifestyle Hotel in San Francisco is seeking a dedicated and experienced Executive Chef. The Executive Chef will oversee all culinary outlets (Restaurant, IRD, Banquets), menu development, establishing local partnerships with farms, and community give back opportunities for this $8M per year F&B revenue (200 room) hotel. The culinary team includes, Executive Sous Chef, Sous Chef, Receiving Clerk, and about 25 union team members (cooks & stewards).
We are looking for someone with hotel experience who has also been an Executive Chef in a previous role at a free-standing restaurant or small hotel/Inn. We will also consider someone who has been an Executive Sous Chef at a luxury property for a few years and ready to take the next step.
QUALIFICATIONS: Passionate about food! Preferably an affinity for California cuisine and highlighting local and seasonal ingredients Minimum of 7 years of similar work experience Expertise in menu concept and design, with high level of detail in quality and presentation A post-secondary diploma or degree preferred An expert in culinary operations, a strong leader and a proven track record in guest and team member engagement and financial performance Prior experience in scheduling, labor costing, payroll administration and production control Excels at communication, both verbal and written Is flexible and willing to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: $130k-135k annual base + 30% Bonus Potential Health & Wellness- Company Paid Medical, Dental & Vision Pet Insurance Retirement Planning - 401k w/ match 18 Paid Personal Days Complimentary parking 3 Remote Workdays per month 8 weeks of paid maternity/paternity leave Equal Employment Opportunity #AA
