Hanna Community Center is a small business in Lafayette, IN. We are professional, agile, and our goal is to continue Hanna's commitment to serve the diverse population of the greater Lafayette Community. The Hanna Community Center, Inc. is a non-profit, multi-service agency that provides programs and services for the surrounding community and minority residents of Tippecanoe County.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Board Governance:

Works with the Board to fulfill the organization's mission.

Responsible for leading Hanna in a manner that supports and guides the organization's mission as defined by the Board of Directors.

Responsible for communicating effectively with the Board and providing, in a timely and accurate manner, all information necessary for the Board to function properly and to make informed decisions.

Organization's Mission and Strategy:

Works with the Board of Directors and staff to ensure that the mission is fulfilled through programs, strategic planning, and community outreach.

Implements Hanna's programs that carry out the organization's mission.

Responsible for working with the Board to implement the strategic plan and revise the plan as necessary.

Financial Performance and Viability:

Develops resources sufficiently to ensure the financial health of the organization.

Responsible for the fiscal integrity of the Hanna Center, which includes the submission of a proposed annual budget and monthly financial statements to the Board.

Responsible for cash management, payroll, and fiscal management within the approved budget.

Responsible for maintaining and complying with IRS regulations and funding agency requirements.

Responsible for fundraising and developing other resources necessary to support Hanna's mission.

Fundraising and Community Outreach:

Responsible for the enhancement of Hanna's image by being active and visible in the community.

Coordinate annual fundraising and community outreach events.

Responsible for grant compliance and securing new revenue streams.

Organization Operations:

Ensure the efficient operations of the organization.

Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of facilities.

Responsible for the hiring, supervision, training, and retention of staff.

Ensures compliance with state and federal laws and regulatory bodies.

Manage Brightwheel, enrollment, and be a liaison with parents.

Manage incident reports and process CCDF cards for compliance and payment.

Professional Qualifications:

At least a bachelor's degree or five or more years of senior nonprofit management experience.

High degree of integrity and strong leadership skills.

Transparent, communicative, and coachable.

Budget management skills, including budget preparation, analysis, and reporting.

Strong organizational abilities including planning, delegating, and program development.

Ability to convey the vision of Hanna's strategic future.

Knowledge of fundraising strategies and donor relations unique to the nonprofit sector.

Skills to collaborate with and motivate board members and volunteers.

Effective written and oral communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to oversee and collaborate with staff.

Strong public speaking ability.

Must have a valid Indiana driver's license.

Specific Job Responsibilities:

Planning and operation of the annual budget.

Maintaining employment and administrative policies and procedures.

Serving as Hanna's primary spokesperson to the organization's constituents, media, and the public.

Establish and maintain relationships with various organizations throughout the state.

Report to and work closely with the Board of Directors.

Supervise and collaborate with organization staff.

Maintain an appropriate level of physical presence at Hanna Center.

Strategic planning and implementation.

Administrative support for all organization Board and committee meetings.

Oversee marketing and communications efforts.

Review and approve contracts for services.

Other duties as assigned by the Board of Directors.

Job Type:

Full-time

Pay:

$50,000.00 - $63,000.00 per year

Benefits:

Paid time off.

Schedule:

8 hour shift, Day shift, Monday to Friday.

Ability to Commute:

Lafayette, IN 47904 (Required).

Ability to Relocate:

Lafayette, IN 47904: Relocate before starting work (Required).

Willingness to travel:

25% (Preferred).
