We are looking for a facilities technician to support our R&D and pilot line operations in Fremont and San Jose. You'll work with an experienced team of facilities and process engineers, along with technicians in the South Bay, and occasionally collaborate with our mechanical, electrical, and software engineers in South San Francisco.
Responsibilities:Perform daily inspections and data logging for facilities equipment and waste treatment systems.Operate and maintain our waste treatment systems, including troubleshooting, management and waste handling.Monitor inventories of chemicals and consumables for facilities, ordering supplies.Ensure near 100% uptime for our process and R&D teams by repairing and maintaining general facilities, furnishings, and equipment.Organize storage, critical spare parts, and tools for easy finding.Requirements:High School diploma or possession of a GED Certificate.3+ years of hands-on facilities experience, preferably in battery manufacturing, R&D laboratory, and/or semiconductor startup environments.Familiarity with typical lab equipment (multimeters, pressure/vacuum gauges, pH, etc.)Hands-on knowledge of laboratory plumbing and plumbing fittings, machine/equipment setup experience, and use of hand and power tools in the field.Ability to read control schematics and P&ID drawings.Salary: $30 - $38 an hour. The position is eligible for company shares. Actual compensation may be higher or lower in the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to a candidate's job duties, experience, and location. We will also consider higher-level candidates and salary will be adjusted accordingly.
