SUMMARY: Provides technology support of desktop computing, peripherals, and multimedia equipment. Analyzes and coordinates resolution of hardware, software, and network problems. The successful candidate will support building hardware and software, applications, basic maintenance, and troubleshoot technology. Provides excellent customer service to visitors and day-to-day coordination of the conference center at the Instructional Support Facility.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Greets and directs visitors, routes telephone calls, answers visitor questions and serves as the customer service representative for the District.
2. Maintain computers, printers, peripherals, and multimedia equipment.
3. Support end users; facilitate technology for training sessions and maintenance of building assets/equipment.
4. Analyze and resolve problems with hardware, audiovisual technology and other peripherals.
5. Assists in maintaining building technology assets.
6. Research and resolve problems related to network connectivity. Implement new software releases. Install hardware, software and technology peripherals.
7. Support visitors at the front desk, answering phones and provide general information.
8. Recommends the purchase of computer hardware, software, technical equipment and supplies.
9. Schedules and coordinates all trainings that occur in the conference rooms, enters reservations online and maintains calendar; record details about trainings and communicates details with custodian and maintenance to provide schedules and room set up of building events on a weekly basis.
10. Maintains daily kiosk signage.
11. Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Experience in use and basic support of the current versions of MS Windows and Mac OSX operating systems.
2. Experience installing, maintaining, and using standard systems and software applications.
3. Troubleshooting experience with applications and devices to include laptops, desktops, tablets, projectors, and mobile devices.
4. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple assignments, respond quickly to changing business needs and priorities, manage expectations and communicate status updates.
5. Ability to lift 25 lbs., twist, bend, and work in awkward positions.
6. Excellent interpersonal, problem solving, and communication skills.
7. Enthusiasm and a dedication to delivering quality customer service standards.
8. Ability to effectively work in a team environment and to work with minimal direct supervision.
9. Proficient in Microsoft Outlook.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS:
All certifications, licenses, and registrations must be valid and unexpired.
1. Administrative assistant/clerical or information technology experience.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
1. Moderate physical effort (lifting up to 25 pounds).
2. Occasional heavy lifting up to 50 pounds.
3. Occasional bending, reaching, climbing.
4. Sedentary (long periods of sitting with freedom to move about).
5. Working with others.
6. Working alone.
