Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30-5:00, various hours as needed and approved

Reports: Consumer Lending Manager
Purpose:
Consistently provides an atmosphere of high-quality member service to meet member needs. Supports credit union sales efforts and performs transactions for members regarding all share and loan products and services.
General Responsibilities: Build relationships with staff, members, and community partners. Adhere to the member service standards set by the credit union.Promote all products and services with cross-selling to meet members' needs.Maintain current knowledge of all credit union's services and policies. Maintain knowledge of competitor's rates, terms, etc., as well as internal trends relating to lending. Counsel members on interest rates and cross-sell services offered at the credit union.Open other credit union products when needed including certificates, savings accounts, and checking accounts. Assist with IRAs. Assist members with closing accounts when applicable.Process new account information including ordering checks, verifying eligibility, checking for appropriate signatures on all required forms. Print temporary checks and debit cards for members as needed. Assist members with card issues.Assist with taking in chargeback requests and submitting fraud claims to Premier Defense.Assist members over the phone and in person with transactions as necessary.Process and approve wires.Ensure accurate processing of loan applications for all consumer loans including but not limited to Visa credit cards, signature, auto, boat, RV, ATV, equipment, snowmobile, unsecured loans, and lines of credit.Maintain thorough knowledge of lending programs, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.Gather information and calculate ratios to approve and underwrite loans within policy.Process and file insurance and titles as required.Assist members with information as to the status of pending loans. Explain reasons for denial and explore options for members when loans are denied.Assist members in filing debt protection, credit disability, and credit life insurance claims.Work with and keep all information confidential.Maintain general knowledge of mortgage products.Be proficient with opening, closing, and emergency procedures.Community involvement.Other duties as assigned.Required Skills: High school diploma.Loan experience preferred.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Teamwork and exceptional customer service.Self-motivated and highly organized.Ability to prioritize multiple competing tasks.Strong understanding of credit union products.Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Be able to sit/stand for long periods of time.Job Type: Full-time
