About the JobYou will report into the Senior Director, Product Development.
Lead and execute all seasonal fit block development based on design's fit direction using fit intelligence and competitive research to create new the best fits and update current fit portfolio.Lead all Global Fit Initiatives which includes competitive market research, competitive product fit reviews, creating body target measurements, creating all fit block sampling, and leading any fit safari work to gather consumer feedback to lead final fit block approvals.Create fit blocks library – physical and digital.Collaborate with Garment Developers to ensure approved fit blocks are applied to seasonal products and assist them in seasonal product garment development to ensure all block intents are met by source base for commercial sampling and final approval for bulk production.Apply knowledge of the sourcing strategy, source base, fit, construction, and design aesthetics to develop fit blocks to meet LS&CO's product standards.Collaborate with and influence Design in interpreting and translating aesthetic requirements into styling details that can provide commercially viable product for mass production.Lead fittings and evaluate, document, and communicate all fit block comments to the production locations.Guide communication between Design and Product Development Garment Developers and vendors for quality product execution and bulk production.Integrate all timeline processes with important stakeholders to meet all relevant "go to market" milestones.Stay informed about contractor related technical/equipment capabilities.About YouBachelor's degree or 7+ years combined college education, pattern-making training, and work experience may be substituted for a degree.Minimum 5 years' experience focusing on the execution of fit per design concepts.Experience with manual or computer aided pattern-making and grading.Drawing, flat sketching or Illustrator drawing experience.Proficiency with Word, Excel, CAD, Illustrator, PLM, Clo, Browzwear, and Gerber Accumark Fit development.Experience in the apparel industry focused on a variety of fabrics and product types such as tops and bottoms, non-denim, denim, woven's, cut and sew knits, and sweaters.Experience interpreting designers' fit direction with the ability to interpret and direct corrections to contractor pattern work.Experience in preparing fit meetings, conducting fit sessions, updating patterns, and specification documentation in required systems.This is an on-site position based in our San Francisco, CA headquarters. You will be expected in office at least 3 days per week from Tuesday-Thursday. Note, time in office can vary depending on business needs.
The expected starting salary range for this role is $77,300- $120,000 per year. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. The amount a particular employee will earn within the salary range will be based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, performance, and business needs. Levi Strauss & Co.
