Role and Responsibilities: As a Floor Technician, you'll be responsible for maintaining and cleaning floors and baseboards at our facility, ensuring a safe and hazard-free environment.
Work with a team primarily composed of adults with disabilities or disabling conditions.
Perform routine cleaning, waxing, and restoration of hard-surface floors and carpets.
Tasks include dust mopping, mopping, stripping, refinishing, and spot cleaning.
Use floor care machinery like buffers and scrubbers.
Maintain and repair this equipment, including replacing parts and calibrating as needed.
Secure work areas with safety barriers, report defective equipment, and transport broken items as needed.
Check and maintain parts and equipment inventory.
Introduce yourself to customers, provide safety instructions, and ensure the area is left clean and safe.
Work with a diverse team, assist with supply deliveries, and complete assigned tasks and work orders.
Lift and move heavy equipment, read and understand chemical labels, and perform other assigned duties.
Qualifications: Experience with floor care and maintenance (Preferred) Ability to operate and maintain floor care machinery (Preferred) Knowledge of safety procedures and chemical handling (Preferred) Good communication skills and team-oriented attitude Physical Demands: Required to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods of time.
Able to follow safety procedures and guidelines.
