Essential Functions of the Forklift Driver role:
Ability to obtain a fork truck license (Must have valid state-issued Driver's License)
Load and unload trailers in accordance with Whirlpool's package handling practices
Move product to designated locations accurately for inventory compliance
Stack goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions
Check that all loads are secure; assess weights and judge distance and height
Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards
Complete all required paperwork in a timely manner
Coordinate with other departments as needed
Perform daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck's battery and lubricating equipment
Complete daily 5S assignments
Ability to work OT hours as needed to support production requirements
Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required of the Forklift Driver role:
Sortation system troubleshooting protocols
Knowledge of Logics Inventory Management System
Proper package handling techniques and procedures
General fork truck maintenance
Eye-Foot-Hand coordination
Ability to self-manage workflow
Ability to lift 40 lbs unassisted
Ability to get on and off PIT regularly
