Principal Job Responsibilities

Recruit students and staff for new Taylors, SC school scheduled to open in August 2025.

Build and maintain positive relationships with students and parents to promote effective communication between school and home.

Under general direction, ensure that the school facility is an attractive, pleasant, and productive place in which to work and learn.

Establish and maintain an effective learning climate in the school.

Plan, organize, and direct implementation of all school activities.

Initiate, design, and implement programs to meet the specific needs of the school and its students.

Implement GREEN instructional initiatives with fidelity.

Monitor student achievement progress and utilize data to plan and support academic growth.

Implement rules or processes governing student life and conduct in a fair and just manner.

Interpret, uphold, and enforce school rules, administrative priorities and regulations, and board policies.

Supervise school staff and students and address and resolve all issues.

Prepare and submit the school's budgetary requests and monitor the expenditure of funds.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Master's degree or higher in Education Administration with at least three years of experience as a teacher; or equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Must possess a valid school principal certificate and other certifications as designated.

Knowledge in the development, planning, organization, implementation, and management of instructional programs and practices designed to meet educational objectives and requirements.

Knowledge of the standards, regulations, and laws relating to educational activities.

Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with school and GREEN staff.

A rich background in elementary and middle school education is required, as well as familiarity with charter school operations.

Experience working in

GREEN's

highly successful network of schools is preferred.
