Job Description
Summary:
The FP&A Manager will play a critical role in the financial planning and analysis function of the organization. This position is responsible for leading budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis efforts to support strategic decision-making and enhance financial performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, business acumen, and the ability to communicate financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders. This position reports directly to the Division Controller.
Essential Duties:
Budgeting & Forecasting
Lead the annual budgeting process, coordinating inputs from various departments.
Develop and maintain financial rolling forecasts and models to support business planning.
Monitor performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying variances and trends.
Financial Analysis
Conduct detailed financial analysis to support strategic initiatives, including ROI assessments and profitability analysis.
Analyze operational performance and provide actionable insights to management.
Prepare regular financial reports and presentations for senior leadership and stakeholders.
Maintenance of Domo and Dashboard creations
Lender reporting & requests
Variance analysis
Forecasting analysis and management of the process for the Sales Team
Data consolidation, as requested by the Sales Leadership Team
Work within the ERP System (Today Microsoft NAV) to serve as the sales team expert while providing relevant reporting, analysis, and insight to the Sales Leadership Team
Create ad-hoc Excel reports as directed by the Sales Leadership Team or other team members.
Strategic Planning
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop long-term financial strategies.
Innovation financial analysis (CBI)
Quad & Quartile/FTB financial partner
Pricing strategy analysis and evolution
Assist in the development of business cases for new projects and initiatives.
Team Leadership
Mentor and develop FP&A team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
Collaborate with finance/accounting colleagues to ensure alignment of financial objectives across the organization.
Additional:
Identify opportunities for process improvements within the FP&A function.
Implement best practices in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
Other Ad Hoc projects/needs
Qualifications
5 to 7+ years of experience in FP&A or finance roles, with at least 2 years in a managerial position.
Previous experience in manufacturing and commercial functions
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
Strong understanding of financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting methodologies.
Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion) and advanced Excel skills.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
