LL6 PVT are part of the Vehicle Hardware Systems organization and are co-located in the Vehicle Assembly Plant with the vehicle production team. The PVT are the 'first line of defense' regarding Functional system quality for the products produced at the assembly plant.
LL6 PVT R&Rs are embedded in the following Ford processes and procedures:
FAP03-005 Current Model Concern Prioritization & Resolution,
FAP07-004 Corrective and Preventive Actions,
FAP02-053 Variability Reduction Team Procedure,
FAP03-109 Concern Reporting, Part Modification, and Product Changes (pertaining to SREAs),
FAP03-134 Vehicle Stop Ship or Vehicle Stop Build for Quality Reasons, and GQIP Global Quality Improvement Process.
Organizational Note:
The PVT is technically aligned back to the Product Development Functions.
The PVT Supervisor Job Function is to Analyze and Resolve quality issues.
In this position...
Owns Functional Warranty quality objectives for the base function (R/1000 and CPU).
Respond to plant/supplier issues before they leave assembly plants. Evaluate chronic and new warranty issues to push for cut off and resolution ASAP.
LL6's Co-Chair Variability Reduction Team (VRT) meetings at the Plant.
Lead ECB Warranty binning and analysis.
LEAD BSAQ and Problem Resolution for ECB Warranty (except Supplier Quality) communication and coordination with VFG/Plant/Others, author projects, manage implementation, calculate impact, handle warranty glide path forecast.
What you'll do...
Support supplier and PD requests for component changes (SREA), run requested trials.
Support Major/Minor launch starting at LR with focus on Quality. Launch Team Leads.
Support Stop Ship and prevention - identify issues, coordinate subject matter experts, advise severity and next steps/containment, interface w CCRG.
Support TVM. Verify the success of the assembly plant trials.
PPAP completion is Site STA.
TVM D&R owns the design and must sign off on PPAP with STA.
Support in weekly Vehicle Function Group (VFG) subsystem Quality Meetings, weekly Functional Quality Reviews (FQR) with the Functional Chief Engineer, daily plant white board meetings to update Plant Leadership on all Functional quality initiatives, & Vehicle Quality Reviews (VQR).
Support plant FTT, IQ and High Hurt when design element is involved.
You'll have...
Bachelor of Science in Engineering Required.
5+ Years of Experience in PD, Plant, Manufacturing, and/or Quality.
Even better, you may have...
Knowledge of GSAR, BSAQ, RDM and other Quality Tools.
Highly motivated and capable of leading x-functionally resolution of quality issues.
Capable of succinctly communicating issues/resolution to all levels of Leadership.
