JUNE 10, 2024 JOB POSTING TWAIN SULLIVAN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL .20 FTE CONTINUING ASSIGNMENT INTERMEDIATE EFFECTIVE: September 1, 2024 The successful candidate will: Have experience and/or training at the intermediate level and at leading a combined grade class; Provide a child focused approach utilizing current methodology and strategies; Have a commitment to the direction of the school as outlined in the School Growth Plan; Embed the First Nations Principles of Learning in all subject areas; Experience integrating learning opportunities from a variety of subjects in an outdoor context; Be familiar with and willing to apply principles of self-regulation; Have knowledge and commitment to using current assessment strategies, including formative assessment; Be committed to working as a cooperative, collaborative member of a school wide instructional team and attend meetings as required; Be committed to consultation, parent conferences, and positive home/school/community liaison; Be able to work with students with a variety of behaviors and use positive approaches to support behaviour change; Be committed to and practice the philosophy of inclusion; Have experience in the use of computer technology in the classroom; Have experience using technology for communicating student learning. SALARY: The starting annual salary for this full-time Elementary School position ranges from $62,718 to $110,161, with placement on the range based on length of services and qualification in accordance with the collective agreement. Additionally, $3,035 annually as a Remote & Rural Allowance.
