The Dockhand is responsible for assisting the marina team in order to serve marina customers and guests by performing a variety of tasks including but not limited to general operation of the docks and assisting boaters. The Dockhand must work to maintain a safe and clean environment throughout the harbor and marina facilities. Fuel dock attendant assist boaters in docking/ securing boats coming in to refuel. Assists in the pumping out of black water waste tanks at the dock. Acts a shopkeeper, maintain the ships store and processing transactions.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide SHM members with the best experience possibleGreet all customers in a manner that expresses a kind, courteous and professional characterAssist marina residents and guest vessels at fuel dock slips in docking, tying, and securing their vessels with Marina personnel safety in mindProvide immediate assistance with docking/securing customer boats arriving for re-fueling at the fuel dockEnsure proper care and safety to customers and property while securing and releasing dock lines and otherwise assisting customer's arrival/departure from the fuel dockContinually observe, monitor and operate the pump out station within established policies regarding sanitation and accident preventionProvide customer service and assistance for fuel dock and dock store purchases, including handling cash, credit and internal account processingResponsible for re-stocking and maintenance of dock store inventory, including consumables.
