Job Title: Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher Location: Near Grovetown, GA School Year: 2024-2025 Key Responsibilities: Provide specialized instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet each students unique needs. Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to ensure a cohesive learning experience. Use a variety of instructional strategies and assistive technology to enhance learning. Create a positive, engaging, and safe classroom environment. Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching methods as needed. Participate in professional development and stay current with best practices in deaf education. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Deaf Education or a related field (Masters preferred). Valid teaching certification in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education. Experience working with students with hearing impairments is highly desirable. Strong communication skills, including proficiency in ASL (American Sign Language).
