Job Summary
Financial Reporting AVPs help supervise a team's preparation of monthly, semi-annual and annual reports for mutual funds and ETFs in accordance with GAAP and SEC requirements. AVPs:
Are the primary contact for clients; respond proactively to internal and external client inquiries
Manage the preparation of financial statements and review SEC filings (e.g. N-CSR, N-PORT, N-CEN, N-1A, 24F-2)
Are the primary owner of the annual audit process
Oversee preparation of quarterly Board reports
Demonstrate a solid understanding of mutual funds and financial markets
Lead training sessions to increase the team's knowledge
Coordinate fund year-end tax reporting
Identify and/or implement process improvements to reduce risk and improve efficiency
Oversee client reporting
Manage various projects
Participate in committees and other department initiatives
Qualifications
Job Specifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or business-related area or equivalent work experience
5-7 years accounting or reporting experience in the registered investment company or financial services industry
Prior team lead or supervisory experience preferred
Advanced experience working with Microsoft Office applications required, especially Excel
Ability to demonstrate the following attributes consistently well:

Oversee daily work completion in compliance with internal controls and procedures necessary to ensure quality products
Proactively balance team resources and workflow requirements
Willingness to work outside of normal work hours when necessarily, especially during peak financial reporting cycles
Conduct monthly coaching/feedback sessions with Analysts
Escalate issues timely and appropriately to senior management
Develop/deliver executive summary reporting to senior management and clients
Strong technical writing skills
Oversee projects effectively
Motivated to continuous self-improvement
Ability to promote a positive working environment and influence others to embody the Citi Culture
