RahrBSG is looking for a Global Trade Compliance Logistics Manager to join our team. The Global Trade Compliance & Logistics Manager develops and leads the global logistics compliance program, acting as a strategic leader to prioritize efficiency, regulatory compliance, and cost-effectiveness are prioritized. This role focuses on customs compliance, adherence to global trade regulations, strategic sourcing, and spend management. By optimizing the global supply chain, the Global Trade Compliance & Logistics Manager ensures seamless operations, supports regulatory compliance, and contributes to business objectives. This position also plays a critical role in shaping the sourcing strategy to maximize value across international operations. This is a hybrid role based in Shakopee Minnesota with three days a week in office.

Create, manage, and document a global trade compliance program, ensuring risk mitigation and cost optimization is prioritized. Develop and maintain relationships with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and government agencies to streamline import/export operations.Classify imported products and raw materials under the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and manage duty rates, tariff classifications, and trade agreements.Oversee preparation and submittal of shipping documents, such as bills of lading, certificates of origin, commercial invoices, packing lists, and all required customs documentation and declarations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness is prioritized. Conducts periodic audits to ensure compliance with U.S. regulatory requirements and adherence to internal SOPs. Stay updated on changes in customs regulations, tariffs, and global trade policies in key markets and adjust logistics practices as necessary to remain compliant.Sourcing and Supplier Management Develop and implement global sourcing strategies focused on cost efficiency, quality, and compliance. Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with international logistics providers, freight forwarders, and carriers. Lead all international supplier negotiations to secure competitive pricing, payment terms, and service agreements. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate supplier performance and align with company standards.Collaborate with internal teams to resolve sourcing issues and maintain strong vendor relationships. Manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure service quality, on-time delivery, and adherence to cost targets.Conduct periodic reviews of logistics vendors to assess performance, resolve issues, and renegotiate contracts as needed. Spend Management and Cost Optimization Analyze international freight charges and business costs, implementing strategies to optimize transportation, warehousing, and distribution costs. Track and report on total cost of ownership (TCO) for sourced materials and services, ensuring alignment with budgetary goals. Develop and maintain a risk mitigation plan to address potential disruptions in the international supply chain.Cross-Functional Collaboration Coordinate with supply chain, inventory, and finance teams to forecast logistics needs and align international sourcing strategies.Act as a point of contact for logistics-related inquiries, providing guidance to internal stakeholders on shipping timelines, costs, and best practices.Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the company and operational needs. MINIMUM EDUCATION & WORK REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in international logistics, customs compliance, and global trade. Experience in global sourcing, spend management, and optimizing logistics costs, including working with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and global suppliers. Proficient in logistics management software and familiar with ERP systems. Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and cost management. Customs broker license preferred. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Strong knowledge of international trade laws, customs regulations, trade compliance, and international shipping documentation requirements. Demonstrated track record of delivering business results, successfully negotiating contracts, holding suppliers/vendors accountable, identifying and driving cost savings initiatives, and supporting process improvements. Excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively manage vendor relationships and collaborate with internal teams.High attention to detail and ability to navigate complex global trade regulations.Skilled at data analysis, problem-solving, and identifying efficiencies in logistics operations. Proven track record of optimizing costs and driving continuous improvements in logistics and sourcing. Strategic mindset with a focus on long-term sourcing and logistics objectives. Proven ability to establish and maintain relationships with all levels of management.Excellent project management skills, organizational skills, communication skills, the ability to multi-task, and most importantly, the ability to work well in a team.Ability to work and adapt in a fast-paced environment, making effective decisions and iterating rapidly as priorities frequently shift.
