Job Description
The Graduate Program Coordinator provides vital support to the Graduate Program Office in the Department of Computer Science by providing administrative support, student services, and professional development initiatives. This role ensures the effective operation of graduate programs, facilitates student success, and fosters strong communication between stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- Familiarity with academic settings and student services in a college or university environment.
- Strong problem-solving and reasoning skills, with the ability to navigate multi-step processes and a willingness to explore innovative/creative solutions.
- Capacity to maintain a calm and professional demeanor in environments with frequent distractions, interruptions, and high-demand situations involving students and/or faculty.
- Excellent verbal, written, and electronic communication skills to ensure professional and effective interactions with a diverse population.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in using platforms such as Banner, Navigate, and Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with graduate-level academic programs and processes.
- Knowledge of computer science and research practices.
