Responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of Suburban Inns grounds, including landscaping and snow removal. Oversee warehouse activities, including storage, receiving, dispatching, security, maintenance, sanitation, and administrative functions.
Essential FunctionsOperate vehicles and powered equipment, such as mowers, tractors, twin-axle vehicles, snow blowers, chain saws, electric clippers, etc.Use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, hedge or bush trimmers, or axesMow and edge lawns using power mowers, edgers, weed whips, and leaf blowersPrune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges using shears, pruners, or chain sawsInspect equipment, tools, and machinery regularly, and oversee general maintenance and repair as necessaryCare for established lawns by mulching, aerating, weeding, grubbing, removing thatch, or trimming around flower beds, walks, or wallsProvide proper upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, or other grounds featuresClean flower beds; rake, mulch, and compost leavesMix and spray and/or spread fertilizers, herbicides, insecticides onto grass, shrubs, or trees using hand or automatic sprayers/spreadersRemove snow from grounds via plow, shovel, Gehl, etc.Maintain awareness and knowledge of the condition and location of company fleet vehicles and trailers focusing on routine upkeep (directional lights, tires, brakes, oil, etc.)Follow proper securing protocol (chaining, tiedowns) of equipment for transportingFollow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environmentMaintain a positive attitude throughout the day, and keep team member morale highFollow all Suburban Inns ProcessesUndertake special projects requested by managementExhibit regular and recurrent attendance records Position RequirementsMinimum Knowledge: This position requires ability to interpret / extract information and / perform arithmetic functions. Requires typing, record keeping, word processing, and excellent communication skills.Formal Education and Job-Related Experience: This position requires a minimum formal education of a high school diploma or equivalent related experienceLicense, Registration, and/or Certification Required: This position requires a valid driver's license, signed nondisclosure and confidentiality agreement, and passed background check.Work Schedule: Work may vary between day, evening, night, holiday, and/or weekend assignments. Schedule varies according to business demands and needsRequired Travel: Position does involve travel to other Suburban Inns properties and off-site meetingsUniform and Appearance GuidelinesUniform: Closed-steel toed shoes, safety colored shirtAppearance: All facial piercings must be approved by management.
