Role Overview: Could you be our next Handler/Operator? Globe Life is looking for a Handler/Operator to join the team!
The First-Class Mail department is responsible for mailing all customer correspondence including billing, claim checks, company letters, and new policies. There is a very stringent balancing and reconciliation process where we ensure every piece of mail that comes into the department leaves the department with the exact components it was assigned. With a quick turnaround time of 48hrs from receiving print the Handler/Operator role is required to construct every package they insert with the exact components it was assigned, whether it be by hand assembly or in operating a mail inserter machine.
This is an on-site position located in Oklahoma City, OK. What You Will Do:
• Meet daily production goals set by management. For Handler the expectations are no less than 150 pieces assembled per hour, and Operators are 4,000 pieces inserted per hour.
• Prepare and assemble print for daily mailing.
• Prepare samples to be checked by Lead to ensure each mail package was assembled with accuracy.
• Log all groups and quantities assembled with proper reporting to ensure all mail has been accounted for.
• Open and reinsert any mail done incorrectly.
• Gather and distribute material in & out of designated holding area.
• Place assembled mail pieces in mail trays and place machine ran mail on postal skids.
• Move material placed on postal skids with a pallet jack transferring them to the warehouse in preparation for transport.
• Keep respective area clean and organized in a manner to not get them cross contaminated.
• May complete tasks associated with the Safety Program
• Assist in Warehouse.
What You Can Bring:
• High School Grad or equivalency.
• Experience preferred on mail inserting equipment but will train.
• Fluent in English - reading and writing.
• Basic Math Skills.
• Ability to concentrate for long periods.
• Ability to change and adapt in fast paced environment.
