This client-facing leadership role is pivotal in driving the vision for gathering market requirements, scoping global models, and advancing model communications strategies.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of Model Product Managers, engaging with clients, regulators, and industry bodies, and ensuring that the model roadmap aligns with client needs and the latest scientific developments.
A key aspect of the role is to provide thought leadership on extreme event risk and to help define the climate product strategy.
The candidate will also be tasked with meeting success metrics, overseeing the evaluation of model programs, and building a high-performing team through effective hiring, development, and coaching.
Applicants must have a deep understanding of catastrophe modeling and its implications for the insurance industry, with at least 15 years' experience in key cat modeling roles or with modeling vendors.
The role requires exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities are essential, as is the capacity to manage multiple stakeholders and navigate complex organizational structures.
