About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Head of Data Center Development to lead and oversee the strategic planning, design, and implementation of our clients data centers across the United States. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data center infrastructure, project management, and team leadership, with a proven track record of delivering large-scale projects on time and within budget.
Responsibilities: Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for data center development, aligning with the company's growth objectives and technological advancements.Project Management: Lead and manage multiple data center development projects from inception to completion, including site acquisition, utility engagement, permitting and financial feasibility.
Budget Management: Work closely with the senior finance team to prepare and manage budgets for data center projects, ensuring cost-effective solutions and maximizing return on investment.
Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of engineers, project managers, and other relevant staff, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
Vendor Management: Identify, negotiate, and manage relationships with external vendors, utilities and contractors to ensure project success and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Data Center Design) is preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in data center development or equivalent energy or digital infrastructure project development experience.Leadership: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a diverse team.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
