The Customer Trust External Relations (CTXR) organization works to ensure positive public perception of Amazon's trustworthy shopping experience. We are the safest place for customers to shop online, and the customer-obsessed tools our teams build help ensure customers have a trustworthy shopping experience in our store every time with every product, whether purchased from Amazon or from the millions of sellers in our stores around the world.
An important part of CTXR's charter is finding opportunities to engage thought-leaders, policymakers, and media on the trustworthiness of the store and improving public perception of the industry leading work our teams do on behalf of our customers. CTXR also acts as an internal advocate to help teams increase positive perception of their work and a creative ideas engine for ways to improve external awareness and excitement around that work, as well as accelerating and strengthening third-party advocacy and partnerships to benefit customers and drive improvements within the retail industry.
The Head of Marcom is a high impact global role that will have the opportunity to support a broad range of programs, including: trustworthy shopping, trustworthy reviews, scam prevention, brand protection and anti-counterfeiting. You will lead a team that works with CTXR program leaders, public relations, public policy and other teams to define messaging and narratives, implement a global communication strategy and amplification plans with the goal of aligning external perception with the reality of Amazon's trustworthy shopping experience.
Key job responsibilitiesDevelop and execute the global go-to-market strategy and overarching communications strategy that increases awareness and improves perception of the steps Amazon takes to create a safe and trustworthy shopping experience.Lead a team to deliver a comprehensive, coordinated content calendar, channel plan, and engagement initiatives that keep partners informed and empowered.Lead the end-to-end development of campaigns, including design, copy, positioning & launch.Create a comprehensive communications calendar, content plan, and channel strategy to keep selling partners informed and empowered.Define target audiences and develop value propositions and messaging frameworks for campaign content.Collaborate with CTXR program leads, product and business teams to define campaigns for external stakeholders so we can ensure external perceptions are aligned with reality.Lead the creation of internal processes, including writing and reviewing business documents and project proposals.Manage and mentor a high-performing team, providing coaching, development opportunities, and oversight to help them excel.About the teamHere at Selling Partner Services, we embrace our differences. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS10+ years of professional non-internship marketing experienceExperience managing teamsExperience using data and metrics to drive improvementsExperience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teamsExperience with launching external communications programs.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience in traditional and emerging media channels including TV, OOH, cinema, digital display, online video and paid socialExperience leading across multiple localesExperience working as part of a global team with remote colleagues.Previous experience launching external communications for compliance related projects.Strong bias for action and the ability to balance multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.Quick decision-making abilities demonstrating bias for action under tight timing and pressure.Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $140,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $232,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
