About the Role The Company is seeking a Head of Power Trading to take on a pivotal role in the business, with a focus on commercial functions related to trading physical power products.
This includes engaging in daily spot market trading within ISOs, optimizing and hedging physical ISO interfaces, and utilizing various market products to manage risks and optimize outcomes.
The successful candidate will be responsible for researching, identifying, and executing opportunities to enhance market efficiencies and capture positive spreads within the physical power markets.
The role requires a deep understanding of ISO rules and regulations, particularly in eastern markets, and a strong grasp of the bilateral trading marketplace for power and power-related products.
Applicants for the Head of Power Trading position should have a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience, with a background that includes exposure to the energy and commodities industry.
A profound knowledge of ISOs, especially NYISO, PJM, and ISONE, is essential.
The ideal candidate will be proficient in ETRM systems, with a preference for experience in CXL, and have a strong understanding of market optimization and risk management.
The role demands a strategic thinker who can proactively identify and act on market opportunities.
The Head of Power Trading will be instrumental in the company's operations, and as such, the role requires a candidate with a proven track record in the field and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
