What you will do:
Healthcare informaticists play a significant role in the design, implementation, and optimization of electronic health record (EHR) systems, clinical decision support tools, telehealth platforms, and other healthcare IT solutions to streamline healthcare delivery processes and improve patient outcomes. They collaborate with healthcare providers, administrators, and IT professionals to address the unique challenges and requirements of healthcare environments, such as interoperability, data security, and regulatory compliance.
Electronic Health Record (EHR) Management: Oversee the implementation, customization, and optimization of EHR systems within healthcare organizations.
Clinical Workflow Optimization: Analyze clinical workflows and processes to identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency gains.
Clinical Decision Support: Develop and implement clinical decision support tools and systems to assist healthcare providers in making evidence-based decisions.
Health Information Exchange (HIE): Facilitate the exchange of electronic health information between healthcare organizations, providers, and patients.
Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect, analyze, and interpret healthcare data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on healthcare regulations and ensure compliance with regulations such as HIPAA and HITECH.
User Training and Support: Provide training and support to healthcare providers and staff on the use of healthcare IT systems.
Quality Improvement Initiatives: Collaborate with quality improvement teams to enhance healthcare quality and efficiency.
What You Will Need (Qualifications):
Be able to Obtain a Public Trust Clearance
Bachelor Degree
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
