Job summary
The Pathology Department is seeking a Histotechnologist II.Perform a variety of routine and complex laboratory tests.Work in accordance with established standards and procedures.

Responsibilities
• Perform day-to-day technical procedures on clinical and research specimens.• Prepare tissue samples for microscopic examination.• Perform grossing/dissection of small specimens.• Accession and bill specimens.• Maintain laboratory equipment.• Program tissue processors.• Perform routine histology on human and animal specimens.• Perform quality assurance procedures.• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment.• Order supplies and maintain lab housekeeping.• Maintain accurate and detailed records.• Provide accurate information for client billing purposes.• Perform miscellaneous related duties.
Requirements
• Associate's Degree from an accredited Histotechnology program.• Two years of laboratory experience with histology.• Additional education may substitute for experience.• Computer experience with MS Office, database, and email.• Knowledge of normal human tissue morphology.• Strong written communication and interpersonal skills.• Ability to read and interpret directions.• Organize and prioritize work.• Work successfully as part of a team.• Physical requirements as described in the job description.
