The Manager of Security plans, organizes, manages, and coordinates the security management elements of the hospital environment of care program, system-wide (system includes Atlanta, Forsyth, Cherokee, and subsequent off-site locations). Includes the JCAHO and other regulatory agency elements of performance. Assumes Security Director's role in the absence of Director. Required to interface with visitors, staff, physicians, patients, and family members.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREDBachelor's degree and ten (10) years of security/loss prevention experience.Five (5) years prior supervisory experience with Hospital Security/Safety, Fire, Police, Military Police, Ambulance/EMT, or similar occupation.Must demonstrate complete knowledge and application of Security, Safety, or Law Enforcement techniques and procedures.Must possess excellent public relations, customer service skills, and must possess effective written and oral communication skills.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERREDInvestigative abilities or experience.International Association for Hospital Security and Safety Certification preferred, but will train and certify as necessary.MOAB or GA Post certified General Instructor.
