Join our team today. GENERAL PURPOSE OF HOUSEKEEPING JOB
Responsible for the overall cleanliness of the facility and daily upkeep of public areas.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Dust, vacuum, and clean all offices, hallways, lobby, entryway, restrooms, and residents' areas.
Identify maintenance needs (lighting, repair needs) while completing regularly assigned duties and notify maintenance of such through use of Maintenance Request form.
Collect and dispose of all facility trash. Coordinate removal of all hazardous and/or oversized waste.
Conduct inventory of all facility cleaning and paper supplies on at least a monthly basis. Notify appropriate personnel of all restocking needs.
Ensure that all cleaning supplies and equipment are kept in working order at all times. Lock equipment away from client access when not in direct use. Keep equipment within eyesight and away from client access when in use.
Assist in preparation for special functions, tours, and inspections.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Previous housekeeping experience in a similar setting preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid state driver's license with appropriate endorsement. PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk and hear; use hands to finger, handle or feel; taste or smell, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move a minimum of 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distant, and peripheral vision, color and depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment for this position is a residential facility or day treatment school setting. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and outside weather conditions.
