Job Description
Responsible for the day-to-day management of HR disciplines including employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, affirmative action, and employment law compliance.Manage recruiting and related tracking for the Norcross distribution center.
Attend recruiting job fairs.Implement and administer background process for positions assigned.Conducts new-employee orientation, employee relations counseling, and exit interviewing.Work with managers to successfully investigate and resolve matters involving policy interpretation, discipline, and performance.Assist managers with performance issues.
This includes but is not limited to disciplinary actions for attendance, performance, safety, or any other policy violations.Support local events, such as picnics, holiday and anniversary celebrations, and reward programs.Support Managers and Associates in the interpretation and application of EDC policies.Participate in administrative staff meetings and attend other meetings as needed.Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to continually improve the efficiency of the department and services performed.Participate in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.Perform other duties as assigned. External Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree and two to three years' related experience in human resources disciplines; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
At least three years of full cycle recruitment, and the ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
Must be flexible with job duties and be able to adapt to a fast-paced environment that is committed to providing excellent customer service to its employees.
Ability to exercise independent judgment and problem-solving skills and can work well under the pressure of deadlines.
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels of employees and management as well as excellent communication skills.
Intermediate level of proficiency in Windows Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
