Position Overview:

As an HR Officer at The Wydown Coffee Bar, you will play a crucial role in shaping our workplace culture and supporting our team members. You will be responsible for a variety of HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and training and development. Your contributions will help us maintain a positive work environment that fosters growth, innovation, and collaboration.


Key Responsibilities: Recruitment and Onboarding: Collaborate with department heads to identify staffing needs, create job descriptions, and manage the recruitment process. Facilitate onboarding for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the company. Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries, concerns, and grievances. Foster a supportive environment by addressing issues promptly and effectively. Performance Management: Assist in the development and implementation of performance appraisal systems. Provide guidance to managers on performance-related matters and support employees in their professional growth. Training and Development: Identify training needs and coordinate training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge. Promote a culture of continuous learning and development within the organization. Policy Development: Contribute to the creation and implementation of HR policies and procedures that align with company values and legal requirements. Ensure that all employees are informed and compliant with these policies. Data Management: Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases. Prepare reports and analytics to support decision-making and improve HR processes. Diversity and Inclusion: Promote diversity and inclusion initiatives within the workplace. Support efforts to create a welcoming environment for all employees, regardless of their background. Requirements: Experience: We welcome applications from candidates at all levels, from entry-level to senior HR professionals. Relevant experience in human resources or a related field is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level positions. Education: A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is advantageous but not required. Personality Traits: We are looking for dedicated and confident individuals who are passionate about fostering a positive workplace culture and supporting their colleagues. Soft Skills: Strong innovation and emotional intelligence are essential. You should be able to think creatively to solve problems and understand the emotional needs of your colleagues to build strong relationships. Technical Skills: Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite is a plus. Familiarity with HR metrics and analytics will be beneficial.
