The Human Resources Coordinator is primarily responsible for supporting Human Resources functions including, but not limited to, recruitment, onboarding, and terminations. This position will provide general assistance in the HR systems including Banner and PeopleAdmin Applicant Tracking System.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide customer service to all customers by answering phones, emails and responding to general inquiries.Create, review and update job descriptions for current positions; working closely with management and ensuring consistency.Maintain Applicant Tracking System (ATS) by resolving technical issues, and ensuring the software is being used effectively; Provide technical assistance to managers and employees regarding the ATS.Develop job postings and necessary applicant pools in Applicant Tracking System; Complete proactive recruitment tasks, such as sourcing, attending job fairs, or identifying external job boards, as needed.Communicate with hiring managers throughout recruitment process, providing feedback, guidance, and assist in coordinating recruitment, as needed.Conduct new-employee orientations for new hires; Maintain and improve orientation materials and process as needed.Process and track onboarding tasks such as background checks, references, I-9 documentation, and more for new hires.Process internal Workflows for employee new hires and terminations.Track and oversee SMC volunteer information; Maintaining applications, background checks, and entry in the HRIS.Process employee terminations ensuring proper procedures are followed and entered into HRIS.Maintain and review employee personnel files.Track annual performance evaluations and assist managers or employees with questions, concerns, and guidance as needed.Perform testing of the upgrades of the applicable Banner modules used in Human Resources.The duties listed in this job description are not all-inclusive, but a list of the major responsibilities. Additional duties not noted in the job description may be assigned by a supervisor.Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field with 1 year of experience working in Human Resources or working in an office environment; OR Associate's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field with 3 years of experience in Human Resources or working in an office environment; OR 5 years of experience working in a Human Resources Department or an office environment.Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in employment recruitment.Experience working with PeopleAdmin, or similar Applicant Tracking System.Experience working with Ellucian/Banner, or similar HRIS.Special Instructions to Applicants: Physical Requirements: Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation:
