Brunel is currently seeking a high caliber Human Resources Manager for a direct hire position with our mining client located about an hour East of Tucson, Arizona .
Duties include:* Manage recruitment, interviews, tests and selection of employees to fill vacant positions.
* Write policies regarding equal employment opportunities, compensation and employee benefits.* Consult legal counsel to ensure that policies comply with federal and state laws.
* Manage the development and maintenance of HR system.* Oversee the analysis, maintenance and communication of records required by law.
* Write and delivers presentations to corporate officers, managers, or government officials regarding HR policies and procedures.* Manages new hire orientation.
* Manages record keeping of benefits plans, insurance, pension plans, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, terminations and employee statistics.* Coordinate management training in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance reviews, safety, and sexual harassment.
* Advise management on appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.* Administers performance review program and salary administration program to ensure compliance and equity within organization.
* Administers benefits program such as life, health, dental, retirement plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, employee assistance, etc.* Conducts wage surveys/reports within labor market to determine competitive compensation plan.
* Prepares and manages human resources budget.* Manages employee separation notices and related documentation and exit interview process.
* Prepares report sand recommends procedures to reduce absenteeism and turnover.* Represents organization at personnel related hearings and investigations.
* Manages outside suppliers to provide employee services such as benefits administration, temporary employees, search firms and relocations services.

* Working around equipment and machinery * Walking on uneven ground
* Exposure to extremes in temperature, humidity, and wetness* Wear appropriate PPE, i.e. Hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, safety boots, and potentially a respirator
* This position is considered "Safety Sensitive " for purposes of the Arizona Medical Marijuana Act and the Arizona Drug Testing statutes **
** All positions at the mine sites are safety sensitive. As such, no one in a safety sensitive position is allowed on site while under the influence, or potentially under the influence, of controlled substances that may adversely affect their ability to safely perform their job duties.
Our client:Our client is in stage 2 of a fully funded open pit mine site and are ready to start staffing.
Requirements:* Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Law or other applicable field.
* Law degree or advanced post-secondary education is a plus.* 15+ years previous experience within in a Human Resources position required.
* Previous experience working in the mining industry is a plus.* HR certifications are a plus.
* Excellent communications skills, written and verbal. Must be fluent in English.* Strong computer skills with all MS Office platforms.
* Knowledge of laws and regulations in the mining industry.* Extensive knowledge HR strategies and practices, including compensation, performance management, safety, hiring and employee relations.
* Proven ability to create a culture of diversity, inclusivity, collaboration and teamwork.* Previous successful experience with a start-up organization creating HR policies from the ground up is critical.
* Experience with HRIS implement.* Strong knowledge of employee labor laws and EEOC guidelines.
* Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines.* Strong time management and organizational skills.
* Must have the ability to work in a team environment.* Must be eligible to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship, now or in the future.

Key objective will be the recruiting and development of personnel to staff the facility. The HR Manager will be responsible for all compensation and benefits programs, employee relations and legal compliance for the company.
