About Global Financial Crimes
In Global Financial Crimes (GFC), you will play a critical role in identifying potentially suspicious activity, protecting vulnerable individuals, and safeguarding the integrity of the financial system. GFC coordinates day-to-day implementation of the Firm's financial crime prevention efforts. Including governance, oversight and execution of the Firm's Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Sanctions, Anti-Corruption and Government and Political Activities Compliance programs.

Your Key Responsibilities:
As an experienced Transaction Monitoring Controls Product Owner, you will:
>Scope, define, and prioritize system related enhancement requests for the Firm's Transaction Monitoring System
>Conduct agile ceremonies (on squad and fleet level) as Product Owner
>Draft and refine user stories for TMS related enhancements with key stakeholders' inputs
>Conduct ongoing monitoring procedures (including data and functional centric ones) according to the Firm's Model Risk Management policy and timeline
>Oversee and/or directly perform analysis and data manipulations on large datasets to support the development of solutions that derive insights from a variety of data sources (BU systems, trading systems, exchange data, monitoring systems, etc.), connecting the dots on GFC risks facing the Firm
>Collaborate with Legal and Compliance colleagues as and when appropriate with respect to ongoing initiatives (e.g. Trade Surveillance, Communications Surveillance, Control Group, Conduct Risk, Coverage Compliance, Regulatory Enquiries, Legal / Litigation etc.)
>Coordinate with FCT and other Legal and Compliance colleagues in addressing regulatory requests and questions from other departments within MS on the transaction monitoring program
>Maintain up-to-date documentation related to the various aspects of the program, including but not limited to the model developer document and scenario listing
>Escalate and problem solve with senior executive sponsors and peers on the team when projects are at risk, have roadblocks or are running behind
What We're Looking for in You
>5+ years relevant work experience, with respect to AML transaction monitoring (not sanctions screening) of financial crimes within large financial institutions
>Knowledge of System Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
>Proficiency in Agile methodology including relevant productivity software such as Jive, Jira, and Tableau, and user stories writing
>Experience in scoping, developing and prioritizing plans for tactical and strategic pieces of work
>Strong organizational skills and an ability to manage multiple demands and changing priorities with tight timeframe
>Experience with engaging senior stakeholders across technology and the business
>Proven ability to take ideas forward and to challenge others with integrity and maturity
>Ability to identify, monitor and manage project risks, issues and dependencies and agree appropriate risk responses
>Technology savvy with ability to quickly learn new systems and tools, and to identify and implement enhancements
>Outstanding judgement, analytical skills, and critical thinking, including solid ability to analyze data to draw conclusions/themes and think strategically about presentation of materials
>Ability to work in a proactive and self-directed way with minimal direction and task management
>Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel functions and PowerPoint, interpersonal and teamwork skills
>CAMS or equivalent AML certification/license, or ability to obtain certification within first 15 months of employment
Preferred Experience We're Looking for in You
>Bachelor/Advance degree in engineering, computer science, or a related science/data field
>Project Management Certification
>Scrum Master Certification or Agile coaching experience
>SQL/structural database knowledge
>Knowledge of Actimize
Where You'll be Working
This role will require in office attendance 3 days/week. Two of those days will be Anchor Days where you will be in the office with your teammates to learn, grow, and collaborate in person.
