Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Job Specialty: ICU RN Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Nights (07:00 PM - 07:30 AM) & Every Other Weekend - 36 hours per week Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of ICU RN experience required, with 2+ years of continuous work experience in one location, preferably a Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU).
License: Active state RN License required.
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Must-Have: - Ability to read telemetry strips.- Telemetry competency.
Job Description: - Work in a 20-bed Medical/Surgical Intensive Care Unit (ICU).- Care for a wide range of adult patients with diagnoses including Sepsis, Gastrointestinal bleed, Respiratory failure, Cardiac arrest, Renal failure, Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA), and Cardiogenic shock.- Collaborate with attending physicians and residents, who are present in the ICU 24 hours a day.- Potential to float to Medical/Surgical units when needed.- Night shift does not rotate, but day positions may rotate between different shifts.- Maintain a patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:1 for high acuity patients.- Utilize the EPIC electronic medical records (EMR) charting system.This role requires a dedicated and experienced ICU nurse who thrives in a team-based environment and is committed to providing high-quality care to critically ill patients.
