DescriptionFutura Automation, a Scottsdale AZ based company, is adding Business Development Manager (BDM) positions in the Salt Lake Area. We are looking for self-starters with experience in Manufacturing Automation and Robotics. This is a robotics and automation solutions provider and business development position, so if you enjoy solving engineering problems and helping other people, with a high degree of integrity, this position could be for you. It is commission-only but with 5-20% payout on revenue, depending on product line or service. Income over $200K is possible with active lead development and project management. The position is 100% commission based. We are exclusive manufacturer's Reps for Flexfactory (assembly automation), Garmo Instruments (welding automation), TPL Vision and Robot Protection Systems throughout North America. In California, additionally we represent Glide-Line pallet conveyors, Gate Technologies (CDS) cam indexing conveyors, Reer machine safety and Vibromatic vibratory conveyors. We work with major automation, robot and vision brands including ABB, Apera AI, Brooks Automation, Cognex, Fanuc, Kawasaki, Macron Dynamics, Onrobot, TripleA Robotics, Weintek and Zimmer.
Major Duties & ResponsibilitiesProspect for new and followup with existing manufacturing automation clients. Learn customer KPIs and development end-user and system integrator management relationships. Support MES LEAN manufacturing programs by developing an understanding of client manufacturing processes and opportunities to increase production, improve quality and decrease unit cost. Recommend robotic and automation solutions to improve production and reduce labor costs. Help Design and Supervise projects implemented by our independent field service and integration partners.
Minimum Skills & AbilitiesMust be comfortable with PLCs, motion control, computers and programming. Knowledge and skill in JavaScript, Python, Java, C++ and C# is helpful, but not required. Robotics and CNC programming knowledge and experience is a plus.
Minimum Education & ExperienceMinimum 2 year vocational school degree in automation and robotics or 10+ years experience in plant automation.
