Independent Contractor - Bookkeeper/Controller Company: Nexagy, Inc. Location: Remote Position Type: Part-time, Independent Contractor About Nexagy, Inc.: Nexagy provides fractional CFO, controller, and bookkeeping services to businesses, offering high-level financial management and strategic insights. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented bookkeeper/controller to join our remote team. Key Responsibilities: Manage bookkeeping and accounting tasks using QuickBooks, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office Suite. Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports. Reconcile accounts, including general ledger accounts and bank statements. Assist with budgeting, cash flow analysis, and financial forecasting. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls. Skills and Requirements: Proficiency with QuickBooks, Excel, Word, and Dropbox. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping. High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality (NDA required). Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently. Minimum of 5 years of experience in bookkeeping and accounting. Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent experience preferred. Must be available to work weekdays between 9 AM and 4 PM Eastern Time. Applicants must be based in the Charlotte, NC area to accommodate in-person meetings and local business needs, despite the position being remote.
