Title: Industrial Electrician Co-Op  Job Description:  1. Operate electrical test equipment including voltmeter, megger, and amprobe. 
2. Install, perform preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot motor control and lighting systems using wiring schematics. 
3. Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair motors. 
4. Troubleshoot advanced control system and instrumentation equipment including PLC controls using wiring schematics. 
5. Use infrared camera to perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot. 
6. Install and configure VFD power and control wire. 
7. Size and wire transformers. 
8. Install various electrical controls. 
9. Interpret electrical schematics and symbols. 
10. Know and understand NEC codes, become trained in NFPA-70E, and practice all other electrician duties in a manufacturing environment. 
11. Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. 
Qualifications:  1. Must be capable of working in a manufacturing setting in a safe manner and follow all safety rules and practices. 
2. Must have the desired technical skills to work as a maintenance mechanic or electrician. 
3. Maintain a high standard for housekeeping within the work area. 
4. Follow instructions on printed work or customer orders to complete assigned tasks. 
5. Basic computer skills preferred to complete safety training and review work-related email. 
6. Ability to learn to operate required equipment, including mobile equipment (forklifts, etc.). 
7. Familiar with common hand tools and how to properly use them. 
8. Good communication skills needed to work with coworkers and customers. 
9. Demonstrates the ability to cooperate with co-workers in areas of safety, quality, and understands importance of completing assigned tasks and their relationship to other requirements. 
10. Recognize unsafe conditions or hazards within work area. 

Additional Information: Shift: Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
