INDUSTRIAL PROJECT MANAGER (WASTE/WASTEWATER)

This role will be either based in Carlsbad, California OR Charlotte, North Carolina, USA and we are open to accepting applications from either of these regions. It will be a hybrid remote/office role with schedule flexibility.

Job Responsibilities:

This role reports to the Director of Project Execution.

Project Manager Goals:

Meet/improve the as sold project budget.

Meet/improve the as sold project schedule.

Achieve/exceed Customer expectations/satisfaction.

Develop and submit the agreed documents and reporting within the agreed time.

Manage job's risks by a proper identification and mitigation plan.

Manage opportunities to grow project's revenues and GPs.

Project Manager Tasks:

Read and understand the contractual terms to consistently deliver the supply in compliance with all the contractual obligations.

Early identification of project risks and adoption of appropriate countermeasures.

Manage the relationship with customer, including official correspondence, meetings, and minor contractual changes.

Manage sub-contractors, suppliers, and purchasing processes.

Lead the resources appointed to the job, ensuring timely and consistent deliveries.

Organize the project team, including leadership, setting priorities and dates, conflict management, and team motivation.

Ensure coordination and communication within the project team.

Comply with the reporting plan, sending requested reports on time with reliable data.

Create and update the Job Schedule regularly.

Support sales department with contract negotiation, closure, and time schedules.

Understand all applicable local regulations and communicate to project team.

Ensure project team adheres to QA/QC plan.

The Project Manager is authorized to sign job correspondence to Customers and Vendors.

Sign POs within DOA's limits.

Authorize project-related function budgets for labor and T&L within limits.

Responsible for the rigorous application of company rules regarding project development, accuracy of reported data, and respect of contractual deadlines.

Job Requirements:

Education:

Holds a technical diploma or graduation in: Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent.

Experience:

Mature experience as Project Manager in the Industrial Plant business.

Competencies:

Deeply understands and is able to manage contracts for supplying complex plants.

Understands risk assessment and mitigation.

Experienced in managing relationships with Customers.

Experienced in leading and coordinating assigned resources.

Knowledgeable in project administration.

Ability to create and manage detailed job schedules.

Experienced in the procurement process.

Cross-functional competence.

Solid Waste/Wastewater/Biogas/Power Generation specific competencies.

Fluent in English.
