Your Role and Responsibilities
IBM Federal is seeking a candidate for a Technical Transition Lead that has a strong technical background in architecture, hybrid cloud engineering, on-prem-to-cloud application migration, AMS, and security across multiple accreditation boundaries to be the technical lead across the transition of a large-scale delivery in Azure, hybrid cloud, including zCloud. The Technical Transition Lead will be responsible for supporting the Transition Manager on the overall planning and execution of transition (including Go-Live), while providing technical leadership and coordination of the transition of cloud infrastructure, applications, and operations. This role will work across disparate teams of technical leads, SMEs, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure the overall transition is executed effectively without disruption of ongoing operations and will maintain end-to-end technical continuity and awareness across teams.
This role will work with the Transition Lead, various leads, architects, and project managers to develop a comprehensive transition plan that includes timeline, milestones, and resource allocation for the transition. The transition plan shall identify risks and document mitigation strategies to minimize impact to schedule and cost. The Technical Transition Lead will provide overall technical leadership, guidance, oversight, and support team coordination, risk mitigation, and issue resolution. Ultimately, the Technical Transition Lead is accountable for the successful technical provisioning, transition, and operational readiness, including clearly communicating status, impact, and recovery plans to upper-level management.
