What you will be doing as the Ingredient Procurement Analyst: Responsible for sourcing and procuring high-quality organic food ingredients to support our production and product development needs. Expertise in organic food markets, sustainable sourcing practices, and supplier management to ensure that our ingredients meet both organic certification standards and company quality requirements. Conduct in-depth research on organic food ingredient markets, including current trends, pricing, and new suppliers. Analyze market conditions and ingredient availability to make strategic procurement decisions that align with sustainability goals and company objectives. Research and identify potential suppliers for various food ingredients. Develop and maintain strong relationships with organic ingredient suppliers, farmers, and cooperatives. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to secure the best quality ingredients at competitive prices while ensuring compliance with organic standards. Oversee the procurement process for organic food ingredients, including order placement, inventory management, and coordination of logistics. Track and manage procurement costs to stay within budget while pursuing opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements. What you will need as the Ingredient Procurement Analyst: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Food Science, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, with a focus on organic food ingredients or similar sectors. Strong understanding of organic certification standards, sustainable sourcing practices, and the organic food market. Experience with project management specifically with identified key deliverables to meet expected timelines. Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). SAP experience a plus. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred: Certification in Supply Chain Management or Organic Food Production (e.g., CPSM, CSCP, or similar) is a plus. Experience with international organic ingredient procurement and understanding of global organic supply chains.
