POSITION SUMMARY
The Institutional Consulting Analyst is an integral member of the Graystone Team. This role participates in overall business development of clients by developing customized Financial Plans / Asset Allocation proposals, designing tailored reporting for new and existing institutional clients, and creating and executing marketing strategies to attract new institutional clients. The Institutional Consulting Analyst is also responsible for matters of technical policy and standards, presentation materials, and performance measurement for technically advanced accounts. The Institutional Consulting Analyst is an integral member of the Financial Advisor / Private Wealth Advisor team and is responsible for ensuring a consistent, positive client experience to help ensure all commitments are completed and delivered in a timely manner.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Business Development:
Synthesizes institutional client/prospect data to develop customized financial plans/asset allocation proposals utilizing the Firm's proprietary software tools
Designs and produces strategy reports and other types of communications for Financial Advisors / Private Wealth Advisors to use with institutional clients and prospects as part of the overall marketing initiative
Provides tailored recommendations to the Financial Advisor / Private Wealth Advisor about specific client situations and their investment managers using Consulting Group manager research
Client Support:
Prepares performance reports for institutional clients, that may involve computing account performance, analyzing investment portfolio holdings, and generating quarterly investment performance reports
Develops presentation materials and proposals to assist Financial Advisors / Private Wealth Advisors in prospecting and cultivating institutional clients' business
May participate in or conduct client/account meetings with or on behalf of the Financial Advisor / Private Wealth Advisors
Engages in interactive dialogue with institutional clients and prospects to determine investment objectives, current portfolio status, risk tolerance, and other information necessary to craft comprehensive financial strategy in conjunction with the Financial Advisor / Private Wealth Advisor
Develops Statement of Investment Policy for clients in coordination with Financial Advisors / Private Wealth Advisors
Regularly contributes in client/account presentations to provide updates, information, and opinions on investment managers
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, and SKILLS:
Education and/or Experience
5+ years of experience in a field relevant to the position required
Four-year college degree or professional certification preferred
Active SIE, Series 7 and 66 (or 63 and 65) licenses
Active Series 7 (GS), and Series 66 (AG/RA) or Series 63 (AG) and Series 65 (RA)
Additional product licenses may be required
Knowledge/Skills
Enjoys working with people and receives great satisfaction solving problems
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to measure performance of institutional clients' portfolios
Willingness to obtain the CIMA or CFA designation
Proficient in applicable software applications required, including PARis, Zypher and Qvidian
Knowledge of financial industry and investment products preferred
Knowledge of applicable compliance rules, regulations, and firm policies
Detail-oriented with superior organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
Able to work independently and effectively on a team
Ability and interest in working in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Business Service Officer
Salary range for the position: $50,000 - 115,000 Yr. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit's incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
