Instructional Designer

smartdept. is searching for an Instructional Designerfor a financial services client located in Riverwoods, IL.. The ideal candidate will come with 5+ years of experience. This is a full-time, fully remote, 9-month contract opportunitywith the possibility of an extension. Compensation for this position is expected to be $42-$47/hour depending on experience level and fit. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in instructional design and ability to develop engaging and effective multimedia learning solutions. What You'll Do: Review existing resources and make determinations on training material content to meet the current needs of the business. Apply expertise to write effective copy that is production-ready and free of errors in fact, style or presentation while meeting brand, legal, and compliance standards. Responsible for development and editing of engaging eLearns, infographics, motion graphic videos, instructor-led classes in alignment with style and branding guidelines. Ability to communicate with multimedia developers to translate design requirements into functional learning modules. Manages multiple instructional design projects simultaneously. What You'll Need: A degree in instructional design, education, or a related field is preferred. Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Dreamweaver, as well as HTML and Microsoft Office software.
